NIC DEAN

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how we ("we," "us," or "our"), operating the Nic Dean Inner Circle website (the "Site"), collect, use, and protect your personal information when you purchase a membership ("Membership") or use the Site.

1. Information We Collect

When you purchase a Membership or interact with the Site, we may collect:

  • Contact information: your name and email address.
  • Purchase information: the Membership tier you bought, your edition number, and the date of purchase.
  • Payment information: payment is processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not collect or store your full payment card number; Stripe handles that directly and securely.
  • Account and community information: information you provide when joining the members-only community (for example, a profile name or a connected Discord account).
  • Optional information you provide: for example, a city you submit to indicate where you'd like to see a show.
  • Technical information: basic information collected automatically when you use the Site, such as device and usage data, to help the Site function and to improve it.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process your purchase and deliver your Membership and benefits.
  • Send you transactional emails (such as your purchase confirmation, edition number, and refund confirmations).
  • Provide access to the members-only community and member benefits.
  • Communicate with you about your Membership, new releases, events, and member updates.
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site.
  • Understand how members engage with member-only content. Specifically, when you play a track or other piece of content in the Vault or early-access drops, we record which content you played and when, and we count how often each member plays each piece of content. We use this to operate the Site, understand engagement, and help prevent abuse of the Membership (for example, bulk-streaming all content immediately before requesting a refund).
  • Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Site, and only as needed for them to perform their services, including:

  • Stripe — to process payments.
  • Our backend and email providers — to store membership records and send transactional and member emails.
  • Discord (if you connect it) — to provide community access.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as you hold a Membership and as needed to operate the Site, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If your Membership is refunded or revoked, we may retain limited records as required for legal and accounting purposes.

5. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

  • Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal limits.
  • Opt out of non-transactional marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Note that we may still send you essential transactional messages related to your Membership.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (for example, under Quebec and Canadian privacy law, or other regional laws). To exercise any rights, contact us at nicdeanmusicc@gmail.com.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including using reputable third-party providers (such as Stripe for payments) that maintain their own security standards. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. International Users

The Site is operated from Canada, and your information may be processed in Canada, the United States, or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can address it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the Site with an updated "Last updated" date.

10. Contact
